Live at the Local: Orson

Orson performed 'Live at the Local' on Tuesday 29th August. If you didn't manage to win a ticket, you can get the lowdown on the gig right here!

We gave you the chance to see Orson perform at our top secret Live At The Local gig on 29th August. This exclusive gig took place at Victoria Park in Cardiff and the crowd of specially invited winners were treated to a fantastic hour minute set, which saw them perform all their singles and answer a host of probing questions from the crowd!

With an electric atmosphere, the pub was packed with fans who wanted to see the guys perform at this intimate venue. Playing hits 'No Tomorrow', 'Bright Idea' and 'So Ahead of Me', the fans were certainly not disappointed on the evening.

Originating from America, Orson's big break came in 2005 when when played at the 'In The City' gig in Manchester. After wowing audiences and record executives alike, this unknown LA band was signed to Mercury Records and suddenly catapulted to fame when they released their debut single 'No Tomorrow'. A year on the band have soared to success and their performance at Live At The Local proved that they're a force to be reckoned with.

They were excellent. Beginning with Happiness the great sound just kept going on and on. Jason Kilby

We had a wicked time last night at the Orson gig.  They were fantastic, cannot believe they sounded just as good live.  Such a warm atmosphere, and they even dedicated a song to Cardiff. Brilliant.  We were buzzing all night, and could not get the songs out of our heads all night when we got home.   Thanks for a fantastic night, so glad I won two tickets.  Would definitely go and see them again. What a performance. Can't say much more.  Had a wonderful night. Cheers. Sarah Farr

ORSON ROCK! The show was amazing and I cant wait too see them again in Cardiff Union in October! I thought the band was amazing on the CD, but it's nothing to what they are live.  The lads all wanted to have a laugh which helped to make the night something I will always remeber! ROCK ON ORSON!
